IT'S LOGAN'S SENIOR PROM!!!

Well, after many things going back and forth and then back again, prom dinner ended up being at mom and dad's house, so I recruited Amy and Brittany to help us serve up some prom dinner!

Dad 'helped' set up and cook the dinner...while Logan got dressed (took FOREVER!)

Then, while he waited on his guests, he took his 'brandy and cigar' in the library :)

He then went to pick up his date...and almost hit a car at the end of the driveway whilst he chose his music for the drive...

then, it was party time! the 'help' gotta into the appitizers...and apparently the booze...hahaha!

PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON GOT MARRIED THIS MORNING AT 4AM!!!

Now, to be fair, I don't think I would have been up watching this at 4am if we hadn't just had tornados and there's no work to go to and we're (me and mom) staying at Lacey's for the night, but all the same...ROYAL WEDDING!!!

We, of course, had to wear our 'royal hats' because that's the thing to do at the royal wedding...duh...

We got all our pictures 'in the carriage' after the wedding. Then of course, we had to 'wave to the crowd' from OUR carriage. And apparently Locksey is the royal dog...yeah right...

Day after the storm...
Mom and I stayed at Lacey's and I went to work as usual, not knowing if the power was back on. So many streets were blocked, but I finally made it only to see a group hanging out at the shop with no power. Dad told me to go home. So Pascha and I went home and I had a nice morning with my Bible, but no power means no coffee :( Around lunch I went to Mom and Dad's for lunch (Mom and Lace went to Walmart for some things and then picked up lunch at McAllister's, which they said was packed because it was the only place for food and anyone without a generator on they're refrigerators had no good food left) and helped Dad clean up his yard from the debris...found this piece of insulation. I keep hearing stories of cancelled checks, mail boxes full of mail and stuff being found up here from places that are 2-3 hours away...there will be stories of people found, but people are just starting to look...

Just a picture of the sky...hasn't really cleared up yet.
There should be something in the middle.
Traffic lights fell all over town.
Logan played tennis this afternoon

This is the day a lot of Chattanooga and the surround areas felt like the world ended...I'm so incredibly thankful that my friends and family were not hurt in the storms and that the damage to homes of the people I know is fixable. I'm praying for those who lost everything.

So here's the story. The forecast said there would be 3 big storms today. One in the morning, one early afternoon and one around 6-8pm. We were at work when the 1st one hit. The power went out pretty quick, then we watched the wind sweep signs, trees and portions of our roof away. After the 1st storm was over we checked the weather and knew we had about 2-3 hours to do what we needed to do and get to shelter again. My whole family and pets went to Mom and Dad's house. While there, we (and Ken, a friend of Dad's visiting from Minnesota) walked around the neighborhood looking at the damage the 1st storm had made, then we bunkered down with flashlights and headlamps for storm 2 and 3. Storm 2 brought a little hail in our area, but mostly rain, it wasn't too bad. Then in between 2 and 3 we moved to Lacey's house for dinner cause it still had power. Storm 3 was the doozy, but it wasn't all that bad where we were, so we had no idea. Storm 3 is when the bulk of the 300+ tornados ripped through northern Alabama and southeast Tennessee. The results were devastating...just look at any newscast from the day. Here's some pics from the Yerbey family day...

tree fallen on a storage unit at the
bottom of my street
tree on the pretty picket fence down
from my parents house
that's the end of my parents driveway.
we're talking with the neighbors before
storm 2 hits.
we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood
before storm 2
then Logan did a storm dance...
Ken started playing in the down tree...
so Dad and Logan wanted in on that...
and I couldn't be left out!
put on your headlamp...here comes #2!

went to the grocery store for a few things between #2 & 3
but most was gone. The generator was just running lights
and registers.
It was so creepy...like the beginning of a zombie movie
they were trying to keep the cold in as long as possible
with the thick plastic over cold areas

Happy Easter everyone!!!

What a wonderful time of year! You can wear white again, your get a pretty new dress, get to have all the family over for a meal, the Easter Bunny brings baskets of goodies, and Christ has risen and you get to sing about it at church! I love Easter! Also, for all who don't know, my dog, Pascha, is the most Easter pup...the name Pascha means Easter (or Passover if you're Jewish). So, without further ado...Easter pics!

the Easter Bunny couldn't get in and find us
this year, so he used the 'Santa approach'

I always get a pic with my Easter basket :)

This my my mom's dad's old '66 mustang.
Dad just had it fixed up, so they took it to church!

Dad has taken a 'mannequin' pose picture
EVERY Easter since I was born.

my what bright Easter outfits we have!
Normal pics are BORING! Mom made us walked down the street to the neighbor's flowers cause they were prettier...

Guess Lacey couldn't find a
bigger whisk...

baby whisk!

Lila felt left out...
