It's Amarilys's 29th birthday!!!
To celebrate, Brandi & I went on the Gallery Hop and saw some, ahem, INTERESTING pieces, and Brittany had a s'mores party! Man, Brittany, you are SO THOUGHTFUL to do that even though you don't know Amarilys! As a special-ness, Britt and Amy broke out the nutella, which is now my new favorite way to make smores, mostly, i think, because instead of waiting on the chocolate to melt in the heat of the mallow, nutella is already 'melty'! yay!
There's just no easy, non-messy way to eat a great s'more...especially when you roast the 'campfire mallows' which are like 2 of the regular 'large mallows' put together!

My LITTLE brother has a girlfriend...in the first 2 weeks of college...
Her name is Cassie and she seems super cool. She has a lip ring, she's from Jupiter...Florida, that is...and she wants to be a vet when she grows up.
Cassie & Logan hold hands...and hug...and generally have their hands all over each other ALL THE TIME...and it's super cute. Here's all i could get as we walked to the last nightfall.

We had a 2nd night for clogging this week!
I finally got Amy, Brittany and Brandi to get over their fear of performance and do a show! It was at The Lantern at Collegedale (alzheimer's assisted living) and it went beautifully, despite the small area available to clog!
After the show all 20 of us went for dinner at the Cracker Barrel, so of course, while waiting for a table for 20, we had fun 'shopping'...the best part of CB :)

Another fan-freakin-tastic clogarita night!
In tonights episode...Amy has the hiccups!
Apparently, according to Casey, if you're TOLD to hiccup (like into someone's hand as demonstrated below) then you won't be able to. This theory took many tries...still can't remember if it made them go away, but i don't think all the laughing helped...
She finally just resorted to trying both giant open mouth and mad, holding breath face...

It's Labor Day and it's rained literally all day, so for dinner, i scrounged around in my frig and came out with steak tacos with home made guacamole. Sometimes I astound myself.

Today was a good work day, cause I got to use fancy design markers and color a couple of artist renderings of a parking lot for Mr. Berry to take to the city! These are Jimmy's (our architect) markers from when HE was in architecture school. He says they're older than me, but i'm not sure i believe that :)

Happy beginning of September...and FALL!
The most ama-za-zing thing happened today. I programmed my opener so that I can park AT the rowing centre instead of just down the street cause there's a million CJR (chattanooga junior rowing) rowers there for practice!
I'm just so happy I could cry.

I have been super stressed about getting to China and wanting to make sure that I don't get stopped in the airport for something dumb, cause security things make me nervous. On that note, I got my visa back! I was soooo nervous to send me ACTUAL passport somewhere, but I've got it back in my hands and the world is right again! It's my #2 prized possession right under my precious Bible :)

REESA CAME TO VISIT!!! Well, Reesa and Nico to be exact, but I didn't get a pic of Nico (her dog). I haven't seen, or maybe spoken to Reesa in like 2 or 3 years! She just happened to pass through Chatty on her way back to Athens and stopped in for the night! It was so exciting!

It's been a long, difficult week on this 'Reboot' diet me and Brandi have been doing, but I've made it to day 5 and for dinner I'm having acorn squash stuffed with onions and portabello mushroom. After eating fairly crappy recipes for most of the week, this was absolutely delicious!

Elana is moving to Charlotte! So, Lacey put together a fun, last 'paint party' night as a going away with me, Lacey, Elana and both our moms. Lacey and Mom had done it once, but the rest of us were newbies. Although it had a lot of 'do what you feel' kinda stuff in it, which drove Mom bananas, I think we all came away with pretty good paintings!
Oh, and Lacey chose the 'Chattanooga' painting class so that Elana could take a piece of us with her...how perfect!

Well, I'm a day behind Brandi, but here's the beginning stages of the 5-day 'Reboot' diet. It's a fruit and veggie ONLY diet that utilizes a lot of juice drinking to get you all the vitamins needed. This is my first attempt at a juice and since I don't have a juicer, I have to blend everything, then strain the juice through a paint strainer.
Things to notice in these pics...
1. My frig has NEVER been this full, ever, and this is only days 1-3 of the diet.
2. Cherries are better eaten when you can just spit out the pits, not CUT them out.
3. Blender apparently don't just explode in the movies. It can also happen at your house.
4. Yes, that IS the juice I drank and the veggie 'paste' that i squeezed it out of...and yes, i tasted the paste. it wasn't good, but then, i never really expected it to be (kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, ginger root)
5. It took me like 4 hours to make all the stuff for DAY ONE...

Good Morning Atlanta!
I needs me some brunch...so Kate-y found a cafe around the corner from the Westin (Cafe Intermezzo) and I enjoyed nutella/banana crepes and coffee! Then it was off to H&M and then IKEA, and lastly, on our way out of town, a stop by Pinkberry, which i'd never had, but was delish!
