Dad's 58th Birthday!

We always joke around about how Dad is the only one who doesn't have his own dog, so for his bday Lacey got him the dog he's always wanted, a Basset Hound named Wally. Lila's not sure he'll fit in...

Since I was already taking pictures of everything, I decided to get a few of Pascha. She's such a good girl for sitting here for me!

And this Lacey/Locksey picture just makes me laugh. Not only is Lacey making a face, but Locksey joined in!

Toulousey-goose got her cone off! YAY!

Below is her happy face...

And what did she do with her new-found freedom when I plopped her outside, you ask? She walked inside and laid down in the green room...cats...

Sunday

June 26

The Chatty Crafty Festival was this weekend and it was so cool! So much fun indie lookin' crafts from all over the south! Brittany found her some...ahem...earrings...along with a cute flower hairpin!

And I won this ADORABLE zombie bunny magnet for knowing what 'Chupacabra' means in english...it's 'goat killer' by the way :)

And last day for Toulouse's cone! Get all the laughs in now, cause my precious baby gets her life back hopefully tomorrow! Cross your fingers that Dr. Tai gives her a thumbs up!

Saturday

June 25

Kevin Schar came to visit!
I didn't really have a whole lot of fun planned, but we hit up Honest Pint last night, then nightfall (where his beer, nightFALLED all over me...haha! Sorry Kev, I had to :)  ) then in the morning a delicious Aretha Frankenstein breakfast! Yay for Chattanooga!

Friday

June 24

So, I get home tonight and THIS was the scene...

My nest door neighbors tree (that EPB was supposed to come and cut down) fell during the storm today...there's a girls car underneath all that...eeeeeps, don't know how that turned out. Oh, and how many giant EPB contractor trucks does it take to cut that ONE tree limb down? FOUR apparently. And they all stood around watching me plant my plants...(see below)

So, one of the 'perks' of being in a business where you're occasionally tearing up landscaping to install sidewalks is that, I sometimes get the plants! (All of the nandinia's in the front of my porch above were from another job!) We were putting in sidewalks in front of the Cracker Barrel off Shallowford this week and had to take these beauties up! I think someone said they're Tiger Cannas or something? Anyhoo, people keep telling me you can't kill them, and I keep saying, "Just you wait..." Guess only time will tell!

I figured out the hard way...I despise gardening...I don't mind mowing and weed eating and stuff, but digging up this stupid hard, rocky ground took FOREVER! And I had the joy of doing it with like 5 EPB guys (any of which could have dug this dumb hole in 5 minutes, but never offered) watched. Guys tend to enjoy watching girls doing 'dirty' jobs and gettin' all hot and sweaty, so that kinda creeped me out...

But at least I got some pretty plants planted finally!

Then, after I jumped in the shower, Kevin got here! We went to Honest Pint with Brittany and Amy and he showed us something that we just don't see here in the south...his medical marijuana license...

Milk fail.

No morning cereal for Lindsey...
Oh, and it's buttermilk, not expired milk that makes this a fail.

Tuesday

June 21

Made enchiladas and rice for a group of people coming into town to help with tornado relief! And Maranda came over to help!

Clogarita night didn't go so well for me though...so i'm leaving that part out...

Sunday

June 19

Had to get up at 3:30am and see all the Hendersons off for their early 5:45am flight. It seems everytime me and Amy get a quick visit I always seem to remember as we're parting that we never got a picture together...so here is our 4am shot :)

Then, a 5 hour drive back to Chatty...

To find this...

So, off to the emergency vet AGAIN (can't they get hurt/sick during the WEEKDAYS so i don't have to pay extra!?)

I made the mistake of holding Toulouse in the doctors office...

To get this put on for a week...

Good gosh almighty, these animals are either gonna kill me or run me into bankruptcy!

Saturday

June 18

Conference day!

Nvision conference held at the ENORMOUS Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. The conference was wonderful. Just getting to talk to people in missions, or trying to get into that 'world' was very eye-opening and insightful. The 2 pictures of the inside of the church are just like they look, the left and then right side of the ENTRANCE FOYER!

Look at this precious little face...there was lots o' bad words when this precious little face fell outta bed in the middle of the night :) it was all just a hazy dream to me though...apparently Ryan too, haha!

The book was something that one of the guys I met in the house we stayed at told me out...I gots to get it...
