Tornado Relief Day 1
When we got there, we stopped and talking to a girl, Julie that Brandi had worked with the past couple of days to see if she needed any help in the semi's sorting donations and making care packages...she didn't

After hours of hanging out with all those that came to help and makin' patties, we ran out of meat...well, unfrozen meat, so we were assigned a new job...box makers! A couple of box companies in town had donated around 8,000 boxes (least that's what the guy in charge said) and our job was to take the flattened boxes and tape them into usable boxes that they would start using to make care packages for people. few rolls of toilet paper, some paper towels, toiletries, canned foods, etc. would all go in the boxes. Of course, Brandi and I couldn't just MAKE boxes, we had to DESIGN the boxes! So, here is the living room we made and then ate lunch in :) Someone at Calvary was nice enough to pack us all bag lunches...PB&J, orange and cookies...so we didn't have to eat at the American Legion from the food we'd made to give away.
Not exactly sure how many boxes the 6 or so of us actually made, but it was a LOT! I tried to get a pic of all the boxes, but there's actually a whole other stack behind that last one to the right!
