THIS Sunday, however, went just a schmidge different. After church I decided that it was stupid that the only reason I'd never given blood and helped save a life is because of my dumb, irrational fear of needles. So, with Brittany's help, I marched myself into that blood mobile and conquered that bitch! And wonder upon wonders...it didn't hurt at all! Not even the finger prick! It felt awkward and stuff, but that was it! Yay for conquering fears! Me with needles and Britt with cats...who's next on our list??? Amy with raw meat? Brandi and needles? C'mon girls!!!
So, that afternoon me and Brandi were supposed to go scootering around town, but because of a problem at the scooter place, we ended up going to Liquidations by Lila instead...Brittany found a fully operational motor chair...
Then, that night, we had Bible Study dinner night at Maranda's new apartment! That. apartment. was. gorgeous! It's above St. Johns...man, really wish I'd taken a pic of the cast iron staircase in the middle of the room...next time~
So, for dinner we had veggie lasagna, arugala and chickpea salad, plantains, pineapple, bread, brie and crackers and wine...so fancy!
Yay for Lindsey overcoming her fear of needles! Remember how freaked out we were to go to the Health place before Africa?! We did have to get like 6 shots, so our fears were still pretty legit.
